Unofficial Valentine's Day Dinner

We're not officially celebrating Valentine's Day till next weekend, but tonight Shweetie made a special dinner for us. In actuality, it was an excuse for him to try out a couple of dishes he's planning to make for the Hawks when they come over for Mother's Day dinner, but it was a nice treat nonetheless.

I thought they both came out great, but Shweetie complained that the beef bowl was way too salty. At least now he's made it, so he'll know how to perfect it when we have the Hawks over.

We followed this up with some delicious green tea ice cream, to go with our Asian-inspired dinner. Mmmmm...
