Dinner at Redd

Some of our friends decided to do an eating extravaganza in Napa this past weekend to celebrate their birthdays, and we were invited up to join them. It turns out we'd been to all of the restaurants they were hitting up but one. We decided to join them for dinner at Redd, since we hadn't been there in ages, and it's always been one of our favorites.

They seated us outdoors, which was lovely. We'd never eaten on their patio before. Unfortunately, this was not one of their better days, as we've had much more delicious meals there. Based on our meal, we guessed that the chef was not in the kitchen (we've had one meal there that was not as great as the first two times we went, and that time, the chef was not present), but it turns out he actually was there! We've concluded that we should avoid going there during the spring and summer months when it's super crowded, as the food quality seems to suffer. We want to go back again in the fall or winter. Luckily, we had a great time with our friends and were honored that they invited us to crash their party.
