Final dinner in Australia: Quay

So thankfully, we did finally get back to Sydney from Katoomba. However, because of that fiasco with our return train, we were 20 minutes late for our dinner reservation at Quay. Luckily, they were very understanding.

This place was fantastic! Quay was another suggestion from our Oscillate Wildly waiter, and his number one pick for a special occasion splurge.

Shweetie's second course: Slow Roasted Jerusalem Artichokes, Toma Della Rocca, Sunflower Seeds, Almonds, and Rosemary Flowers

Shweetie's third course: Poached Victorian Veal Fillet, Slow Braised Veal Tail, Truffled Custard, Nuts, Seeds, Pulses, Grains, Shoots, Fungi, and Organic Baby Garlic

My dessert course: Pear Crème Caramel, Sauterne Jelly, Pear Ice Cream, and Caramel Cream

Little chocolate cigars and cookies

We loved every dish, with the exception of the artichokes, which were only okay. Best of all were the desserts, hands down, especially the crème caramel, which was unbelievably amazing. This place was the perfect end to a fabulous vacation.
